NorthEast Forum for Miss USA

Welcome to the NorthEast Forum for Miss USA. This board was created for all those fans of ladies from the Northeast who competes or had competed in the Miss USA pageant.

Feel free to talk about pageants in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia.

(But overly negative, bashing and unacceptable language posts and/or replies will not be tolerated.)

Note: Please limit messages that only pertain to pageants in the northeast, or contestants from the northeast competing at Miss USA in Miss USA time or contestants from the northeast competing at Miss Teen USA in Miss Teen USA time, (the only exception to this rule is those promoting their own MB's), all else not related to Northeast pageant discussion or information will be deleted.

i competed this year... all the girls seemed really sweet and intelligent... although it was really sketchy how judging went down... no clue how certain rules were even inforced especially in the teens and cetain things in miss... disapointed that they didn't enforce the rules after repetitive reminders... i believe judges already had the girl picked out before hands and they were treated differently and it was def. visible to the contestants from the moment we entered the hotel

Just getting a feel for how many girls would be interested in participating in an unofficial preliminary to the PA state pageant.

If enough girls are interested, we may produce one or two preliminary pageants that would pay the full entrance fee to the state pageant (as well as other cash, prizes, etc.)

If this post gets enough responses, we will look into prelims for the 2011 pageant. Thanks!

Subject: Do any of you realize that Ashley was top 10 in Miss teen USA and no teen from CT has placed since then! She was also Miss Rhode Island for Miss America when she was in college and won swimsuit at the national level! The girl clearly is not afraid to compete and is competing in the state she should be! Otherwise National would not have approved! You people need to calm down

Subject: Photos, looking at the MB I see a lot of states where the contestants have their own photos, and not a single photographer like they do for Mass, CT and RI. No choice in the pictures at all, up the discretion of the photographer and if he does not like you, badddddddddddd photo. I would prefer submitted photos

So who's competing in MA, CT, and VT? Do we have any returners? Any newcomers we should look out for?

I've heard all of the remaining Top 5 that are eligible are coming back in MA. Lacy, Tara, and Sola. I've also heard Amanda Birdsell is competing this year.

And I hear Ashley Bickford is coming back for CT.

Is any of this confirmed? Does anyone have news on VT?

Subject: kristi lives and works in ct now and moved back with enough time to establish residency in ct for the 6 months required to qualify. Nina is not competing in CT. Kim lives in CT and travels to NY for work. They are perfectly eligible.
