Hello Everyone from HH and LTP and any newcomers. I came in here a few weeks or months ago to read and connect, and the time passes so swiftly now that I do not have a lot of time to chat or post. I miss that, and really cherish our times when we connected with so much love on Hay House. Thanks to Louise Hay for her providing us with a place to share and express ourselves.

The GOOD NEWS is this. I know it's been a while since we all posted. I met up with Joe a few months ago, he's doing well, is on a nursing programme currently. Rosie has been in London a couple of months and I understand she's moving to Paris for a year before returning to London. We haven't yet met up though have spoken on the phone. Lorraine now has two baby girl and is doing really well, working part time and also running for charity. Kelly emailed a short while ago and gave me the link to her blog which is amazingly wonderful though I haven't had time to email her personally to share and catch up! (sighs) - did anyone ever warn us that with adulthood comes lots of responsibilities?! How did we find all that time years ago to post at LTP and HH? Wow!

its rising from the mud

see yourself step out of the dark goo and step up onto this illuminating

p/s I meant to also say that I'm an open book about my life as I shared lots when I was at Hay House as I felt safe there to share in those days and it was a period of much growth for me and I learnt soooooo much and am very grateful for that period which was a learning curve for me and very powerful. I've been on many workshops since in real life and opened up and bonded with people during those workshops and shared in real life (which is very different to sharing with strangers on the internet) - and I'd be completely sharing here though my work colleagues know this website too and I'd rather keep my work separate to my personal life, if you get my gist as those who are not on the path, see things from a different perspective and don't understand a lot that we do and they walk a different path .... :)*

Rose, I've been thinking of you a lot and wondering how you're doing :) .... it's great that you've posted and that you're doing well! I always found your energy extremely fascinating and wonderful to witness :)

Yes Hay House was a wonderful time for all of us and to think that was only 8 years ago! So much has happened then and since; and now and life is ever changing. I too miss it lots and wish we could all go back in time though life goes on ....

I've been meaning to write to all of you in a group mail some thoughts I've wanted to share, ie like we used to at Hay House, though which I feel is too personal to share here at Lighting the Path as my reiki website links to here and I am not as annonymous as I used to be in the early days at Hay House when I was just Chrissie :)* (smiles) ... now I'm an Usui and Karuna Reiki Master Teacher Practitioner, an Ipsalu Tantra Kriya Yoga student, a Hoffman Graduate, a Lightworker, a student of the New Couple and much more and while I'm still a human that is learning and growing, too many people would read what I have to share here, including some I would rather not know about my personal life ...

So in the next few weeks perhaps I'll write to all of you via email in a group (like we used to have on egroups) though it'll be normal email.

Another year older, another year wiser .... and on the journey goes.

I am trying so hard to remember someone from HH

who lived in the midwest, was quite unhappy, had a small house or trailer and a nice garden and cats or dogs... and decided to move to Florida and was so happy. Who was it... Anyone remembers? I had been writing a lot to that person, and now it is a blank!

Ahhh! (smiles) Monique, the http://imageshack.us/ is a site where you can share your photos directly here on the page - which means I haven't set up a photo album per se like before. Dear Chrissie/Lorraine/Monique/CarolB/Rose and all others here at the path. I hope you are well. Its been ages again. I have had a bit of a sad time with friends passing away. I was introduced to Alvie from PHILADELPHIA some 4 years ago when i heard him sing. We become friends and i was touched by his magical voice and his strenght and what i was taught was the way he handled his illness with leaukamia with dignity and laughter.
I saw was that no matter what and how sick he was he was most happiest when he sang and gave out to others. He once told me that his illness was nothing compared to others. He was surrounded by love and a son that he adored.

Last weekend was difficult to hear the band sing in his memory knowing that Alvie would no longer be there.

To everyone here a wonderful week and i hope to once i have a better home connection to be more in touch. At work we have big brother watching where we have all been forced to sign that we wont be looking at sites or emailing frinds. This all because we had a few staff members who unfortunately were downloading pornography. Sad that the action of a few has touched the rest of us.

It's great to hear from you .... I've missed all of you and our regular get togethers .... though I know we're all thinking of each other and just busy in our lives than we were all those years ago.

I understand what you mean about work clamping down on personal emails etc as it's the same in our firm which barred personal emails over a year ago. And when we get home, there's just enough time to cook, get washed and time for bed etc ... and get in some meditation time if possible :-)

It'd be great to see you again the next time you're in London - it's been 4 years now since you were last here (or perhaps you came once more and I missed you again

We are spiritual beings having an earthly experience :-) and when the moment is right, we return home ... Louise Hay will be in my heart and soul always (smiles) as she's touched my life deeply and is one of my deepest mentors ... having been the first to rescue my inner child all those years ago ...

Forgiveness / key to happiness
Why should I forgive?

One moment of sincere forgiveness can clear away the debris of years of pain;
In forgiveness, you will free yourself from the burden of having been wronged;
If you actively practice forgiveness, it brings the power of the heart to work on the conditioning f your unconscious mind. It can break the self destructive habits of the emotions of anger, grief and hatred;
If you really want to achieve happiness in your life, you must make an effort to forgive those whom you feel have wronged you
How can I forgive?

Stage 1 Affirm every day: "I am willing to forgive" Work with this affirmation until you find the idea easier to accept.

Stage 2: Practice the Heart Expansion Breath every day. This will help to relieve you of the burdens you carry in your life.

Heart Expansion Breath

Stand with feet apart, knees soft. Cross the arms with palms facing outwards;
Breathe in and draw the arms out in front of the body and above the head;
Hold for a few seconds. Breathe out, bring your arms back down ready to repeat the movement;
Perform at least three times
Stage 3 Write on a piece of paper everything you feel. All the anger, bitterness, and pain. Wrap it around a small twig and gently place it into the river and watch it float away to the sea, taking with it any bitterness or pain.

Stage 4 Visualise the person concerned. You will know when you are ready to do this because you will be able to think about them without reacting negatively.

Look them in the eyes and say "I forgive you for what you have done"

Congratulations! You are now free!

Yes, my mom passed away over a year ago. She was almost 97. Dad had died 3 years before. It has made me feel things I had not experienced before, of a very high level of spirituality. My brother is a strange bird and, right now, it is not my choice to have much to do with him. This is why I stated that my husband was my only family. I do have 12 first cousins in the Czech Republic, but I do not know them or their families!

You have continued and done so much. So have many others, I can see.

I'm sorrie to hear about the passing of your parents. It must have been a very difficult time for you. Your brother is most probably doing the best he can knowing what he knows and coming from where he comes from (Louise Hay) and he's probably really scared inside too though doesn't show it or won't show it (men have a difficult time seemingly in showing their emotions - not all but a lot of them). They are indeed wonderful creatures thou strange to figure out even with books like Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. I know a lot of men have commented to me that they feel envious for women's ability to communicate and share from the heart as they have been brought up to not show their emotions or show them and they don't know how to talk. I found that really sad. For many the only face they know to share is a blank one, sad one, and an angry one etc (sighs).

I too have many cousins and relatives in Indonesia though I don't really know them much.

I've much more to share (as always) (smiles) though time is rushed and I must bid you all goodnight (smiles)

Hello to Chrissie, Monique, Journey, Rosie,.... and any others coming in here to read or post. How great it is to be back in touch once again with like-minded lovely minds as we move forward on our pathway of our growth. I still stay in touch some with Chrissie and Rosie, and not many others. I DID come in here to read and see when anyone had posted.

I had been concerned about Chrissie and the disturbance in London. I know that in the mind of God, all is well, and so I soon allowed myself to let go of any fear concerning Chrissie and her well-being in living there amidst the turmoil. I know all of us can identify in some way with the 9/11, and likewise I am sure we can with the London bombing. We can continue to send healing and clarity to these situations.

I would love to thank all of you for what you have meant to me as we were so "young" spirits sharing at Hay House many years ago. Actually it was about 10 years ago for me the first time I was aware of it and posted. I was busiest sharing in there during 1998 through 200l. I have forgotten
when the forum ceased to exist. Seems like my years get busier and busier.

I am still doing my Yoga. I teach two evenings a week. Also, I am involved with Many Streams Healing Systems, a Non-profit organization who provide therapeutic retreats to Cancer Patients. I am a Yoga and Reiki Provider with this group.

Anyway... I want you all to know that I think of you often and with sending each of you an abundance of Love and Light Energy in its purest form.

I am glad to come in here occasionally and find out that with each of you that All Is Well!!... and so it is.

It really is good to hear everyone on the board again (smiles) - it feels like the ole days!! Yes Hay House was indeed like 10 years ago though I think I joined around 8 years ago - whew time flies!! It was a great learning ground for me and I learnt so much, in spite of all the other energies that was at the place - though as Louise says everything happens at the right time, space and sequence and there is no right or wrong .... I just wonder why all those low energies were there - perhaps the people who were really hurting really needed help and the only way they knew how to express themselves was through anger and the expressions they did use ....

7/7 in London was a scary time indeed. I was having eye surgery that day and was being wheeled into theatre as the first bombs went off ... the nurses thought that it was the French rebelling cos London had won the Olympics ... news was chaotic and when I came out of theatre I was told about the deaths though I was so groogy the nurse told me not to worry about it and to go back to sleep ...

Carol I understand what you mean as I too seem to be really busy these days with new energies to absorb and learn about and new growths etc. I'm now on the tantra kriya yoga / cobra breath path which takes years and I'm thoroughly enjoying the healing journey. One path has lead to another like climbing a ladder and going from one level to another and opening up new avenues of learning and growth. I am taking a sabbatical from reiki though I am still practicing. Tantra is another extension of energy.

It's great that you teach yoga Carol! I'd love to so meet you all one day (smiles) - isn't it strange how close we've gotten and yet most of us haven't met. I've known Lorraine about 8 years now (the rest of you probably 9 years or so) and Lorraine is about 3 hours drive from me - yet we haven't met despite meaning to. We are trying to get together this October when I am down her way for a kriya yoga course - though time will be tight. When the time is right, it'll happen (smiles).

Dear Chrissie, Carolb, Monique, Joe and all others here at this wonderful site.

Monique can you please re contact me as with my computer going done i have lost your email address. I think the last time i spoke to you you were going off to France if my memory is correct.

I have been ordered for a weeks rest due to bad ear infection and flu. So whilst i would normally flap around feeling so guilty about not being at work. I decided that for some reason i need this rest. I was so tired and just over everything.

I have given up my yoga and painting and so until i get 100% okay well life is on hold.

It was nice to just read what everyone has written and I wont mind coming here once a week to reconnect with everyone . I dont get much of a chance on the computer and to be honest after working all day on one you just dont want to be on one at night.

What i have found is that nothing is ever lost. I know that no matter what even if i speak to people only ocassionally they are still there perhaps not like before but still there. I truly believe this. I think we are linked and if we are meant to be together well we will.

London- I miss being there for now but no bombing will stop me from coming back. I had a friend who was on the tube the day of the bombing. As she spoke to me weeks later it was this love of London but also the resilience of the British People.

Take care everyone .. yes it is always so strange that when you guys are asleep i am awake. It does my head in when i am travelling and trying to ring home.

I was in the States with my nieces last year and it was quite interesting trying to get the time zones.

I am looking forward to spring. I was looking forward to my holiday in the UK but on hold until i get clearance from work but for now i will just get on with getting better

Hello everyone,

I was reading Rosie's message and saw that the dates was already tomorrow.. You really are ahead of us, Rosie! It's great to read everyone's name! I have been rather standing in one place spiritually... Well, some forward and then still. I went through a lot with my family in France and now am getting used to having my husband be my only family.

Perhaps what I miss the most about the Hay House chat was that it brought my spirituality alive and got me going in that direction. The rough moments in my life since have done that too. I find I have a hard time opening up to friends, or going past a certain stage, as if I know they will eventually go away too, like my parents and many people from my past long ago, who I took for granted.

I do have a good many friends here. But they don't feel like my family. It is my doing, probably. I still have anxiety problems, which cause me to be cautious in planning things. I long for the spontaneity of my younger years and believe it can come back. I was quite adventuresome! I know none of those who are my friends here have any idea this is going on. Thye find me outgoing and fun. Well, I think that is good.

I look forward to reading everyone's messages. Anyone still in touch with Wendy in Victoria, BC (Canada?).

Yes it is indeed so wonderful to hear from everyone again (smiles). How is your mom doing in France? What do you mean re your husband is your only family? Is everything ok? Have your parents crossed over now? If yes, I'm sorrie hon - I didn't know.

I understand what you mean re our times at Hay House and it keeping our spirituality bubbling on a daily basis with the constant inspiration and support etc and learning new things. It was great at the time though I guess things have to evolve and we have to move on to the next level of our spirituality and grow, ie for me personally it was through life's circumstances ie Indi crossing over that lead me to become a reiki master teacher; and then all the other things in my life that happened to inspire me to do the Hoffman Process and then I moved on to the level energy level to do tantra kriya yoga and also hatha yoga and the Cobra Breath etc and that is my next level. I am also learning other things as well.

I've learnt that , and this is affirmed at the Hoffman Process, and also the New Couple's author's Maurice and Seanna that we really need to be amongst like minded souls to share ourselves as *normal* folk just don't understand what energy level we're on and our vibrations are so different that it confuses them. They are drawn to us and yet feel confused cos they don't understand anything of what we believe in nor understand why etc. They are on the lower levels as it's termed and we're on a higher vibrational level ... that's all. We're all on different levels of the path and there is no right nor wrong .. it's just sad that we can't all be on the same level and/or trust normal folk. Their consciousness just isn't aware though more and more people are being drawn to the Aquarian New Age philosophies thankfully.

You do have us and you can write to us hon ... perhaps we can all make a point to drop by here again once a week or so and drop a few lines of support and insnpiration per before?

No trips for me this year as we are getting a new system and i have to be around.

Just want to say hi to everyone. Sharon's husband Rick is doing well after a heart attack and aneurysm and 2 bypasses. I would love to reconnect with some of the people who chatted at Hayhouse. That was a magical group and as a result of meeting Sharon there I have been working for her for 6 years. Amazing.

Hi Monique, Sharon, Journey et all from the *old* Hay House

It has been a long time indeed since we all got together. I am still in touch sporadically with Carol, Christy, Rosie (on and off) and Joe - Vanda is in the UK now but I haven't heard from her since she settled. And of course Lorraine who is now a mother of beautiful Briony who just turned two years old. I keep in touch with Lorraine the most.

All not because of lack of wanting to keep in touch - it's just finding the time as life's journies have transpired and I'm still on my journey of self discovery and healing via the reiki path and right now I'm on the tantra kriya yoga path working with more energies and that is a few years' worth of studying and I'm thoroughly enjoying the healing journey.

The Hoffman Process 5 years ago was a turning point for me and I've come in leaps and bounds since then having finally met my spiritual self in my meditations at the Hoffman Process and it's been a beautiful journey ever since with a few twists and turns here and there :o)

I'll forward your email on to Carol, Joe and Christy and Lorraine and hopefully perhaps they'll come online to say hi too and also to send love and healing thoughts to Sharon and her husband Rick.

Hay House indeed was a beautiful time and brought many of us together and I still cherish those days fondly. The journey unfolds more for each of us as life moves on and we continue on our individual journies of self discovery, healing and learning. At the level of the soul, we are always in touch, with our thoughts and energies. Love is eternal (smiles).

I miss the old times at Hay House too ... good ole days where we had so much comfort and support, amongst the chaos as well that got the room shut down eventually (yikes) though the great thing about it is that we all got to connect up with each other and we had some fab times on live chats and the likes (smiles) and watching the web video of your live interview :)

Manifesting Money Experiment -- Nathalie, 10:28:53 04/04/05 Mon [4]

As you will notice when reading this article, I am not a professional writer. But I do believe in helping others and this is the reason why I decided to explain my experiment by writing. Feel free to pass my message along to friends and family. So here it is!

After trying lots of techniques, prayers, affirmations……nothing was working so I looked on the Internet for more..... and more info.

What works for me may not work for you. But at the worse, this example may help you get closer to your goal or figure out what works best for you.

Most of us looking for manifesting techniques do not have the money to buy expensive materials or attend seminars...and so forth.

For my experiment, believe it or not, I only use free tools and resources I found on the Internet. I believe I am already on the right track. I am hoping this will help other people manifest their dreams without spending their hard earned money.

Since October 5th, 2004, I have manifested:

1)Phone bill paied by a family member as a gift. I have to say it was not my birthday and there was no special reasons for this person to offer me any gifts.

2)Two new pairs of Jeans offered to me by a friend of mine.

3)Two one-day trips to Germany. I did not spend a dime on those. A friend of mine needed to go to Germany for business and asked me if I could come along. He offered to pay for everything if I accepted to go with him. So of course, I did!!

4)New printer cartridges from my mother. She went to the store for whatever reasons and came back with two ink cartridges for my printer. I had not asked her for anything but one thing for sure, I had no ink left and no money to buy any.

5)A few days ago, I got a 200 euros electricity bill in the mail ....and no money to pay for it! I had not talked about it to anyone. I spent an afternoon with my fiancé. We went for a bike ride, went out to eat, watched a movie and then, I came back home to my mom, and son. Once at home, I noticed an envelope in my purse when I reached in to grab some bubble gums. In this envelope, there was 200 euros. Out of the blue, my fiancé decided to give me 200 Euros as a gift to do whatever I wanted such as buy clothes for myself or my son. He had no clue I needed that money to pay off my bill. He had never done something like that before either....

6)Back in september, I started a class of Computer assisted drawing. We use the AutoCAD software. I don’t need to say that I had no money to buy that software. It costs about 800 Euros. So it was clear to me that I would go through the school year without that software. However, I did add it to my wish list after starting the prosperity game. Well, tonight is October 15th, I just came back from class. My teacher gave me his AutoCAD software as he bought a newer version!! Why did he give it to me and not another student? I believe it is because I had that software on my wish list. This is the most expensive gift I have received so far......and I only started the manifesting experiment ten days ago. I believe it is only a matter of time before I can manifest even bigger dreams!

How did I get to manifest all that in ten days? First, I analyzed my situation:

•The first thing I did was to figure out what I needed right now more than anything else.
In my case, it is money!

What do I not like about money right now?
I do not like having debts, not having enough money to make ends meet, not been able to buy clothes when I need or want them, not been able to go on trips, or even go out with my friends because I don’t have the money. Not been able to pay off my mom’s debt. Owing money to a bank makes me feel as if the bank is in control of my life. I really do not like that.

Why should I not get as much money as I wish?
I am worried that if I have a lot of money, I am going to start attracting “fake” friends...even my family will probably stop by more often just to get something out of me. I want true friendship, and I want to help other’s financially because I feel it is right and not because we are related in some ways! In my family, they assume that if I have something, I can’t enjoy it if the rest of them do not get a piece of it..... even though they are all wealthy and I am not. I don’t want to attract jealousy and fights.

What can I do about that?
Not tell them anything about my financial success, pay off my debts, and move back home to Texas!

How can I make this negative money issue a positive one?
I feel good and proud of myself when I pay any amounts bigger than the minimum required on my credit card.
I enjoy seing the amount on my credit card lower every month.
I love knowing that although I have debts, my credit is outstanding.
I love to know that God think I am responsible enough to take care of my life while raising my son, and taking care of my sick mother.
I love the house I am renting and my 1990 car! We have a place to live, and a car to drive wherever we need to go.

What do I want?
I want money to come to me from all sources in the best of ways and harming none on its way. I want to pay off my debts and always have enough money to make ends meet. I want to have enough money to financially help other single parents..... to start with! I know how hard it is for me and I hate to know that others are going through the same. So I want and need to do something about it.

Then, I search the net for tools:

I am using her technique where I write a statement of my
own 3 times with the dominant hand, 3 times with the other
hand, three times with the dominant hand, and 3 time with
the other hand, and finally say my statement out loud
three times.
Here is my statement: Money, money come to me
In abundance three times three
May I be enriched in the best of
Ways
Harming none on its way

Some people may prefer shorter statements such as
the affirmations you can find in Susan James free ebook.
I tend to like poem-like prayers. They bring some type of
magic to the process...don’t they? 
• I also use a “magic creation box”. Mine looks like a miniature version of a settler’s trunk. It is made out of wood. I have had it for a long time and love it. Everyday, I write down on little note cards what I bought with my “virtual” checks received with the prosperity game. If I can find pictures that represents what I want, I place them in my box with the note cards.
If I have other wishes, any wishes, I do the same and
place them in my magic creation box. Once a day, I read
all the cards in my box. If one of my wishes came true,
I thank God/the universe for bringing it to me, and cross
that wish out of my list.

• Greatful/thankful journal

I came to the conclusion that no matter how hard my life may seem, I am blessed and always well taken care of by God and my angels.

But so far in my life, I have been acting like a spoiled brat. I wanted things and once I got them, I was not very greatful to anyone...no...instead, I was making new wishes right away and wondered why I did not have that now! I’ld get things I wanted for a long time and think “ok! I got it! Now what else?” Geee, what a spoiled brat!

What the prosperity game as done for me so far is to help me realize what a brat I was!!!!  Now, when I get something I have wished for, it is like being 4 years old, standing in front of the Christmas tree. I am happy and thrilled, greatful and thankful.
After realizing how “bad” I had been these past years, I have decided to write down at least five things I am thankful for everyday. At first I thought it would be hard to find five things everyday.......but in fact, I come up with more than five things everytime!

By doing that, I concentrate much more on what I already have than what I do not have yet! I can tell you ot of experience that you get more of what you concentrate on all the time. For example, I kept concentrating on the lack of money and debts to pay off....the result? I kept getting new bills I was not expecting and was drowning myself into more debts. Since I started my manifesting experiment, I concentrate more on what I have received and it makes me happy...to the point where I am attracting more goods in my life.

Hello, everyone:- Joe, Chrissie & all at Lighting the Path - before I start, I wonder has any changes been made to the site as I could access it for a long time, despite many attempts, restarting my PC, Connection, Dialup, Broadband, Etc (something about Remote Access Forbidden???)

I have realised for a long time that I'm in the wrong career - I no longer wish to be in Retail, however I do not know what other kinds of job/career I could get into, so I dont know what kind of courses I could do (apart from my entry level/basic computer course) to get into my chosen field - I only went into retail, leaving school in the Republic of Ireland with no academic qualifications & stayed there for 13 years in obedience to my parents wishes (who used Catholic Social Teaching & the Catholic Church as a stick to constantly "beat" me with and keep me down - I can only speak for how the Catholic Church's teachings are enforced in Ireland and enshrined into civil law, but in Ireland, Irish Catholics must be the very worst kind of Catholics when it comes to issues of "Faith & Morals" in that it a grave and mortal sin to go against one's family/parents) and it against this background that I find myself in this situation in Manchester, in the UK (one thing that did shock me was the extent to which the social fabric has utterly & totally collapsed over here in the UK, the response of some being to create a busybody, nanny state, in which people find themselves being lectured & talked down to by those in positions of athority, which I believe is an incorrect response to this - maybe a better way would be to bring back some elements of religion as it does have many positive aspects, Islam being one notable & interesting example - I am very interested in the Muslim Faith anyway, because some of my friends and work mates are of the Muslim Faith)

As I said, I'm looking for some advice career direction as I find myself constantly sick with flu, sometimes late because I dread going in, especially coming up to Christmas and as I write this, I "slept it out" after 2 weeks holidays because I really hate it, but not really knowing my true career path and lacking career direction is proving destructive for me

The Little Soul was so happy, for it had figured out what all the souls in the Kingdom were there to figure out. "Wow," said the Little Soul, "this is really cool!"

But soon, knowing who it was was not enough. The Little Soul felt stirrings inside, and now wanted to be who it was. And so the Little Soul went back to God (which is not a bad idea for all souls who want to be Who They Really Are) and said, "Hi, God! Now that I know Who I am, is it okay for me to be it?"

And God said, "You mean you want to be Who You Already Are?"

"Well," replied the Little Soul," it's one thing to know Who I Am, and another thing altogether to actually be it. I want to feel what it's like to be the Light!"

"But you already are the Light," God repeated, smiling again.

"Yes, but I want to see what that feels like!" cried the Little Soul.

"Well," said God with a chuckle, "I suppose I should have known. You always were the adventuresome one." Then God's expression changed. "There's only one thing ..."

"What?" asked the Little Soul.

"Well, there is nothing else but the Light. You see, I created nothing but what you are; and so, there is no easy way for you to experience yourself as Who You Are, since there is nothing that you are not."

"Huh?" said the Little Soul, who was now a little confused.

"Think of it this way," said God. "You are like a candle in the Sun. Oh, you're there all right. Along with a million, ka-gillion other candles who make up the Sun. And the sun would not be the Sun without you. Nay, it would be a sun without one of its candles ... and that would not be the Sun at all; for it would not shine as brightly. Yet, how to know yourself as the Light when you are amidst the Light - that is the question."

"Well," the Little Soul perked up, "you're God. Think of something!"

Once more God smiled. "I already have," God said. "Since you cannot see yourself as the Light when you are in the Light, we'll surround you with darkness."

"What's darkness?" the Little Soul asked.

God replied, "It is that which you are not."

"Will I be afraid of the dark?" cried the Little Soul.

"Only if you choose to be," God answered. "There is nothing, really, to be afraid of, unless you decide that there is. You see, we are making it all up. We are pretending."

"Oh," said the Little Soul, and felt better already.

Then God explained that, in order to experience anything at all, the exact opposite of it will appear. "It is a great gift," God said, "because without it, you could not know what anything is like. You could not know Warm without Cold, Up without Down, Fast without Slow. You could not know Left without Right, Here without There, Now without Then.

"And so," God concluded, "when you are surrounded with darkness, do not shake your fist and raise your voice and curse the darkness. Rather be a Light unto the darkness, and don't be mad about it. Then you will know Who You Really Are, and all others will know, too. Let your Light shine so that everyone will know how special you are!"

"You mean it's okay to let others see how special I am?" asked the Little Soul.

"Of course!" God chuckled. "It's very okay! But remember, 'special' does not mean 'better.' Everybody is special, each in their own way! Yet many others have forgotten that. They will see that it is okay for them to be special only when you see that it is okay for you to be special."

"Wow," said the Little Soul, dancing and skipping and laughing and jumping with joy. "I can be as special as I want to be!"

"Yes, and you can start right now," said God, who was dancing and skipping and laughing right along with the Little Soul. "What part of special do you want to be?"

"What part of special?" the Little Soul repeated. "I don't understand."

"Well," God explained, "being the Light is being special, and being special has a lot of parts to it. It is special to be kind. It is special to be gentle. It is special to be creative. It is special to be patient. Can you think of any other ways it is special to be?"

The Little Soul sat quietly for a moment. "I can think of lots of ways to be special!" the Little Soul then exclaimed. "It is special to be helpful. It is special to be sharing. It is special to be friendly. It is special to be considerate of others!"

"Yes!" God agreed, "and you can be all of those things, or any part of special you wish to be, at any moment. That's what it means to be the Light."

"I know what I want to be, I know what I want to be!" the Little Soul announced with great excitement. "I want to be the part of special called 'forgiving'. Isn't it special to be forgiving?"

"Oh, yes," God assured the Little Soul. "That is very special."

"Okay," said the Little Soul. "That's what I want to be. I want to be forgiving. I want to experience myself as that."

"Good," said God, "but there's one thing you should know."

The Little Soul was becoming a bit impatient now. It always seemed as though there were some complication.

"What is it?" the Little Soul sighed.

"There is no one to forgive."

"No one?" The Little Soul could hardly believe what had been said.

"No one!" God repeated. "Everything I have made is perfect. There is not a single soul in all creation less perfect than you. Look around you." It was then that the Little Soul realized a large crowd had gathered. Souls had come from far and wide ~ from all over the Kingdom ~ for the word had gone forth that the Little Soul was having this extraordinary conversation with God, and everyone wanted to hear what they were saying.

Looking at the countless other souls gathered there, the Little Soul had to agree. None appeared less wonderful, less magnificent, or less perfect than the Little Soul itself. Such was the wonder of the souls gathered around, and so bright was their Light, that the Little Soul could scarcely gaze upon them.

"Who, then, to forgive?" asked God.

"Boy, this is going to be no fun at all!" grumbled the Little Soul. "I wanted to experience myself as One Who Forgives. I wanted to know what that part of special felt like."

And the Little Soul learned what it must feel like to be sad.

But just then a Friendly Soul stepped forward from the crowd. "Not to worry, Little Soul," the Friendly Soul said, "I will help you."

"You will?" the Little Soul brightened. "But what can you do?"

"Why, I can give you someone to forgive!"

"You can?"

"Certainly!" chirped the Friendly Soul. "I can come into your next lifetime and do something for you to forgive."

"But why? Why would you do that?" the Little Soul asked. "You, who are a Being of such utter perfection! You, who vibrate with such a speed that it creates a Light so bright that I can hardly gaze upon you! What could cause you to want to slow down your vibration to such a speed that your bright Light would become dark and dense? What could cause you ~ who are so light that you dance upon the stars and move through the Kingdom with the speed of your thought ~ to come into my life and make yourself so heavy that you could do this bad thing?"

"Simple," the Friendly Soul said. "I would do it because I love you."

The Little Soul seemed surprised at the answer. "Don't be so amazed," said the Friendly Soul, "you have done the same thing for me. Don't you remember? Oh, we have danced together, you and I, many times. Through the eons and across all the ages have we danced. Across all time and in many places have we played together. You just don't remember."

"We have both been All Of It. We have been the Up and the Down of it, the Left and the Right of it. We have been the Here and the There of it, the Now and the Then of it. We have been the male and the female, the good and the bad; we have both been the victim and the villain of it.

"Thus have we come together, you and I, many times before; each bringing to the other the exact and perfect opportunity to Express and to Experience Who We Really Are. And so," the Friendly Soul explained further, "I will come into your next lifetime and be the 'bad one' this time. I will do something really terrible, and then you can experience yourself as the One Who Forgives."

"But what will you do?" the Little Soul asked, just a little nervously, "that will be so terrible?"

"Oh," replied the Friendly Soul with a twinkle, "we'll think of something."

Then the Friendly Soul seemed to turn serious, and said in a quiet voice, "You are right about one thing, you know."

"What is that?" the Little Soul wanted to know.

"I will have to slow down my vibration and become very heavy to do this not-so-nice thing. I will have to pretend to be something very unlike myself. And so, I have but one favor to ask of you in return."

"Oh, anything, anything!" cried the Little Soul, and began to dance and sing, "I get to be forgiving, I get to be forgiving!" Then the Little Soul saw that the Friendly Soul was remaining very quiet.

"What is it?" the Little Soul asked. "What can I do for you? You are such an angel to be willing to do this for me!"

"Of course this Friendly Soul is an angel!" God interrupted. "Everyone is! Always remember: I have sent you nothing but angels."

And so the Little Soul wanted more than ever to grant the Friendly Soul's request. "What can I do for you?" the Little Soul asked again.

"In the moment that I strike you and smite you," the Friendly Soul replied, "in the moment that I do the worst to you that you could possible imagine ~ in that very moment ..."

"Yes?" the Little Soul interrupted, "yes ...?"

"Remember Who I Really Am."

"Oh, I will!" cried the Little Soul, "I promise! I will always remember you as I see you right here, right now!"

"Good," said the Friendly Soul, "because, you see, I will have been pretending so hard, I will have forgotten myself. And if you do not remember me as I really am, I may not be able to remember for a very long time. And if I forget Who I Am, you may even forget Who You Are, and we will both be lost. Then we will need another soul to come along and remind us both of Who We Are."

"No, we won't!" the Little Soul promised again. "I will remember you! And I will thank you for bringing me this gift ~ the chance to experience myself as Who I Am."

And so, the agreement was made. And the Little Soul went forth into a new lifetime, excited to be the Light, which was very special, and excited to be that part of special called Forgiveness.

And the Little Soul waited anxiously to be able to experience itself as Forgiveness, and to thank whatever other soul made it possible.

And at all the moments in that new lifetime, whenever a new soul appeared on the scene, whether that new soul brought joy or sadness ~ and especially if it brought sadness ~ the Little Soul thought of what God had said.

"Always remember," God had smiled, "I have sent you nothing but angels."

Hi all,

Thx Christy - Angel Indi would be so proud and honored to be touched by so many people - I'm sure he's handing out kittie hugs to all those who send him their loving thoughts.

I've been reading a book called Talking To Heaven by James Van Pragh who is a medium and it has really helped me understand more about life after death and that death is really a birth into the afterlife; where you have the same spirit just without the body; and you are exactly the same person as you feel right now ie that thing you feel inside you as we are not our bodies. I've ordered some more books from Jams van Pragh via amazon and I'm looking forward to receiving them. It has certainly made a big difference in my life in the past few days regards to feeling comforted and knowing for sure, by what I've read in James' book that Indi is indeed still 'alive' and is around me and that he is happy. I knew all that stuff before but when it really happens to you personally it's a whole different ball game. Reading the case histories that James van Pragh presents in his book is really touching and again comforting. I highly recommend it.

Christy, remember, the Universe loves you and wants you to have everything that you want and need - all you have to do is believe you deserve and accept it with open arms and continue to affirm in writing, mentally -- repetition, repetition, repetition! You are worth it and you are loved.
