Hello Margaret-Anne! Can you provide me with any information about a Luke Appleby, supposedly born in Wickham or Gagetown, NB, Canada, circa 1799, although a Canadian census (cannot recall which one offhand) states that he was born in England. All I have for the name of his wife is "Sally"; however, another Appleby researcher believes that Luke's wife's name was Ann Smith. Luke's son may have been John or James Edward Appleby, born circa 1829 in the Gagetown area, died in the 1860's. His religion is shown in a Canadian census as Church of England. AlI I have regarding John's wife is that her name was "Jane". One of their children was Maud Appleby, a paternal great grandmother of mine. I am currently researching my family's genealogy, and have hit a bit of a brick wall with Luke, especially due to the conflicting information I've seen. One researcher also notes that this Appleby family were originally Loyalists, but another researcher believes they were. I could use some help!

Regards,

Joyce
