David,

I have a David Appleby who married Elizabeth Storr on 4 June 1821 at Thornton Dale (which is 2 miles from Pickering). I don't know if there may be a connection somewhere. Also have a James Appleby born in Pickering in 1833 who is my great-great-grandfather. I don't have a link between him and David Appleby though - even so, the timescales seem about right.
