i still keep having a look at your message to see if you have had any progress, i think if you target the Derbyshire area you may have some luck,my gran was born in chesterfield by the crooked spire. your grandparents lived in a small village called Egypt i think it is Bradford way.

i picked up a book from WH Smiths in Sheffield called memories of Sheffield, inside there are some pictures of uncle Harry when he was Lord Mayor, his full name was Dr John henry Bingham. i don't know if you are aware there is a school named after him in Sheffield, its on the main road from Chesterfield into Sheffield, it is honour of what he did for Education in his role as Councillor. if you haven;t got any photos of his time in office let me know and i will get some copies for you. Also i wondered if you may have any photo's of my gran when she was married,
i would love a picture of my dads dad.
