Subject: Peter Appleby of Carleton Cty., N.B.

I am trying to find when and where Peter Appleby was born, any family that he had, and his relationship to John Francis Appleby(1840-1917) who invented the Appleby Knotter (grain binder). John was the son of James and Jane Appleby and was born in Westmorland, Oneida Cty, N.Y. My grandfather John Barter Appleby was told by his father Peter that he was related to the inventor. I am hoping that if I find his family I can perhaps find Peter's ancestors too.
