Subject: Appleby Family - Westmoreland Jamaica

My mother's family name is Appleby and she is from Westmoreland in Jamaica. We recently moved to England and realised that there is a place called Appleby-in-Westmoreland here and think there must be some link with the Appleby family in Westmoreland Jamaica. My grandfather's name is Hubert Appleby and he died in 1958. He married Lila and they lived in Porter's Mountain in Westmoreland where they had several children. There are still a number of Applebys living in the area. Any information on the Applebys in Jamaica and their link to the people of Appleby-in-Westmoreland would be well appreciated.
